Road Charging Trial hailed as a success
Since the successful start of roadcharging in Stockholm on 7th January, the average number of vehicles entering the city on a weekday has been reduced by around 25%.
Everyone involved with the project has been impressed by the smooth operation of the technology, and the very low levels of customer problems.

IBM splits Encina from Distributed CICS
Nine years after combining the Encina and Distributed CICS products, IBM have finally seperated them again.
After years of strugling with the focus of its TXSeries product, it has removed Encina from TXSeries version 6, switching back to the non-Encina based codebase.
Users of Encina will need to remain on version 5 of TXSeries, although IBM will support this version until April 2009.
TX Squared are probably the only partner in the world with an understanding of both products in the TXSeries environment and how the codebases are being managed.
